I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of beauty and function—to understanding how things work, making them better, and appreciating the details that make something feel just right.

Born and raised in New Jersey, I developed an early appreciation for art, craftsmanship, and quality. A desire to contribute to the world around me has been a constant throughout my life. I’ve spent much of that time involved with organizations supporting social and economic welfare, as well as the arts and culture. I’m naturally curious about people and their stories, and believe the things we create should have meaning.

My path to design was not a traditional one. I hold dual bachelor's degrees in chemical engineering and biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and spent much of my career in the oil and gas industry. It was an experience in rigor, problem-solving, hard work, and high standards—and one that taught me how technical thinking and creativity can work together.

In 2023, my husband and I purchased a home in the Forest Hills neighborhood of Dallas, Texas and embarked on a full gut renovation. What began as a personal project became an unexpected education in design, construction, materials, and the way a home can shape everyday life. I was also pregnant with our daughter, who became my sidekick throughout the nearly two-year construction process.

That home became the foundation of my design practice. It gave me the opportunity to learn the tools necessary to take my ideas all the way from paper to reality—to make the decisions, solve the problems, work through the challenges, and into how we live in it today.
